Hi, I am a windows user and have a couple of people on OS X Yosemite reporting back that with the HTML emails I send them, my inline/embedded illustrations (usually several interspersed per message) either do not appear for them at all (they just see a small red cross), or they appear only as attachments instead - neither of which are good things, because this impedes fluid backwards and forwards discussion and interspersed replies addressing each ilustration, I am sending from Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 PC, and do not seem to encounter this issue from PC recipients. I need a way to communicate with several people at once, spread across both Mac & PC platforms, where we can all see and respond paragraph by paragraph, to the same inline illustrations. Are there any settings or other known impediments that could be interfering with inline images here?

Is this a known issue with Outlook 2007, that it only keeps one-time entries until Dec 31 of that year and then poof, they’re gone? I have not heard about that being a known issue with Outlook 2007, but then again I haven’t used that version in quite a few years. I have a feeling if you asked Microsoft about it, the answer would be that you just need to upgrade to the newest version of Outlook. Which would probably be a good idea anyway.

Imaging that you run Outlook 2011 for Mac with client-side junk mail filtering enabled. You receive a newsletter regularly that is always found to be Junk by the junk filtering and moved to the Junk E-Mail folder. On the other hand, if your mail server provides server-side junk filtering, the same newsletter may also be determined to be junk on the server before it is ever downloaded to the Outlook client. In this scenario, adding the senders address to the Safe Senders list in Outlook for Mac would not help.
